Enjoying van life.

May 7, 2017 –

3 hours of driving.  Sandwich picnic lunch enroute, $3 showers at Lander Pool then camping in the Popo Agie campground, Sinks Canyon State Park, Lander, Wyoming.  FYI, there is free camping in the city of Lander, along the river.

Rainy morning.  Walked to the Sinks.  Amazing how the entire river goes underground.  You would not want to fall in there!  Then walked to the rise, ¼ mile away– much calmer on that side as the water burbles out of the ground.  Water travels for 2 hours undergound.  The theory is it goes thru cracks and crevices in the limestone – until it finally comes out.  No fishing allowed – but lots of large trout visible.

The sinks – thats the river going underground.
